These one-on-one classes start with the basics--educating students on American Sign Language vocabulary and sentence structure with a bit of Deaf culture and history. We move at the student's pace, and when they've reached a certain level, they'll also learn how to sign songs and stories.

ASL 1 - Year 1:
Introduces students to ASL basics and creates a strong foundation. Develop skills in signing through intensive drills, exposure to the basic ASL structural patterns, and functional vocabulary. Introduces the basic history of ASL. Students will be assigned quizzes and two exams.

ASL 2 - Year 2:
Builds upon the foundations of ASL 1. Students will learn more about ASL grammar structure. Implementing more conversational sign language. In addition to exams and quizzes, four projects will be assigned.
***Check with your state and/or university guidelines to make sure they will accept American Sign Language as a foreign language credit***
